Abstract

Professional and educational activities are formed in the architectural design studio with the collaboration, exploration, and discussion of students and teachers. The need to design a collaborative education model as a scaffolding for architectural activities and goals is determined. It seems that participation students for a design goal, in addition to promoting design ability, they learn creativity and social interaction. The goal is explaining the collaborative education model in architecture design studios for novice students. The qualitative research strategy and the action research method are selected. The research cycle includes five steps, recognition and detection, explain the proposed model, application of the model, research findings and observing the feedback of the model, and explain the model of collaborative education in the architectural basic design studio3. For data collection, documents and observation have been used. The final model has been explained in the social constructivist and collaboration education with general and flexible goals in the four categories of collaborative brainstorm, group discussion, jigsaw methods and assessment. Learning is assessed in three stages, pre-test, intermediate test, and Final exam.In the creativity test, in the pre-test, 10% of the students and in the intermediate test,86% of the students created a thought-provoking space. In intermediate assessment61% of students analyzed the entire building and other students analyzed75% of the building.The final exam was conducted with the participation of 96% of students in presentation and construction. Creativity in brainstorming, critique, study, and schema formation in group discussion, and collaborate, eliminating competition, and turning ideas into architecture in jigsaw is enhanced.
