Abstract
Manifestation of postmodernism and pop art in urban art
In this research, we are looking for an answer to the question, how does postmodernism and pop art manifest in urban art? In response, it should be stated that the postmodern age is the age of countless choices. This is partly the result of what has been called the information explosion, the rise of organized knowledge, global communication. Postmodernism considers reason to be the axis of modernity, and by attacking reason and showing its historicity, it has subjected everything to power, time, and society, and has ruled it with complete relativism.Postmodern culture at its beginning in the 1960s was considered a radical and critical trend. Pop art reached its peak from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. Postmodern art, in opposition to modernist art, has always encouraged a return to contextualism, indigenous and tribal arts, and common art. The case study of this research is the manifestation of postmodernism and pop art in urban art. Therefore, the current research was conducted with the aim of investigating the impact of postmodernism and pop art on urban culture and art with the descriptive-analytical research method and library information collection method..The findings showed that in postmodern art, the formation and creation of works are mainly associated with accidents.
